Commemorative medals are issued by Dominion command to mark important anniversaries in Legion history. The medals have distinctive ribbons and designator bars which signify which anniversary is being celebrated. Although the criteria on who is awarded a medal varies, the medals are usually presented to individuals who have made, or are making a significant contribution to the Legion organization and its programs at the time the medal is issued. Commemorative medals are worn closest to the arm or shoulder on the right breast of the member's blazer. |
