Plant a Christmas Tree for the Veterans
As the festive season approaches, we are reminded of the spirit of giving and the importance of community. For over 45 years, Mr. Bill has stood as a pillar of support for the veterans and the local community. For the second year of working with The Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command, Mr. Bill is offering Christmas trees to honour those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice and served with courage and dedication.
Each live 3 ft Christmas tree comes in a pot with a tin bucket ready to be planted along with a Christmas bag containing poppy seeds and/or a zipper pull or lapel pin from the Legion, a small wood planter to germinate the seeds, scent package, a Hershey chocolate bar and of course a candy cane.
The trees will cost $100 (taxes included) and $30 of each sale will be donated to the Legion. Mr. Bill’s Christmas wish is that you will support this effort to honour our veterans.
Mr. Bill will also be donating an additional $10 for every fresh cut Christmas tree and $5 for every Christmas wreath sold this year at his shop to The Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command Homeless Veterans program.
